School Burned, SMPN 200 Students Relocated

After fire ravaged the building of State Junior High School (SMPN) 200, Rorotan Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-District, North Jakarta, on Saturday (5/3), as many as 267 students had to undergo national exam (UN) at State Elementary School (SDN) Rorotan 01 and 04 Pagi, Jalan Rorotan IX, RW 10, Rorotan, Monday (5/5).

If the exam was held in our school, students’ concentration might be disrupted during the exam. That’s why we decide to relocate them

The students are placed in 14 classes on the 2nd and 3rd floor of SDN Rorotan 01 and 04 Pagi. From 7.30-09.30 AM, they worked on the exam with Indonesian subject on the first day of UN.

SMPN 200 Principal, Endang Nurhayati, admitted that actually the fire incident did not disturb UN implementation. However, to maintain the students’ concentration, the exam is decided to be relocated to SDN Rorotan 01 and 04 Pagi which located behind SMPN 200.

If the exam was held in our school, students’ concentration might be disrupted during the exam. That’s why we decide to relocate them. We have coordinated with SDN Rorotan 01 and 04 Pagi about this relocation. The only problem is exam sheets mobilization from the building of SMPN 200,” she uttered.

Meanwhile, Adhi Pramana Putra (15), one of SMPN 200 students, believes that he can pass the exam with good score despite the exam place is relocated.
