Avoid Child Abuse, City Increases Parks

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki T Purnama concerned on the death case of Renggo Khadafy, a five year grade student of SDN 09 Makasar, East Jakarta, who allegedly persecuted by his senior.

To anticipate these bad things, the city administration will increase park public facility as a place to socialize for children. “A solution to solve those problems is providing play park for children,” stated Basuki.

For the time being, the city administration is looking strategic areas for parks and green open spaces, additionally they ask residents who want to sell their land  to be built a park and name the park according to their name.

“For example, he want to name the park Pak Budi, it’s alright. We buy that land for children park, this is very important,” explained the former of Belitung Timur Regent.

Basuki added that one of locations that will be changed into play park is the land of former Jakarta Governor, Henk Ngantung. “We will buy the land for a park. Later, as much as possible (land purchase), if there is money,” he completed.
