DRPD Appreciates Market Operation During Ramadan

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission B members, did a visit to the PD Pasar Jaya office, Monday (7/18). The visit was to know the report of performance and result of Jakarta Great Sale Festival (FJGS) during Ramadan. 

PD Pasar Jaya involvement in FJGS is very good

PD Pasar Jaya Director, Arief Nasrudin disclosed, besides reporting result and evaluation of FJGS during Ramadan, he also explains the progress of BUMD performance that he leads. They are such as street vendor arrangement in traditional market under PD Pasar Jaya.

"In future, we will involve vendor and BUMD to do the market operation. We'll bridge the goods supply from producer/BUMD to the vendor," he disclosed.

Market Operation Declines Price Significantly

Such cooperation is hoped able to control price hike on staple food, such as rice, cooking oil, chicken meat, beef, egg, sugar, chili pepper, red onion and plain flour. As the momentum of last Ramadan, his party held a cheap market for 40 days, from June 4-July 17.

DPRD Commission B Chairman, Tubagus Arif said, the visit along with seven other DPRD members is in order to see the progress of work and evaluation market operation from PD Pasar Jaya. He wished, there was internal improvements thus Pasar Jaya can develop more modern.

"PD Pasar Jaya involvement in FJGS is very good. And we just focus on how to expand and boost the support for Pasar Jaya in future," he asserted.  

If it was realized well, FJGS would increase the number of citizens who enjoy the staple food at low prices. Also asked, market reparation also becomes a priority.
