Satpol PP: We’ll Control Banners without Permit, Including Jokowi’s
Reported by TP Moan Simanjuntak | Translated by Nugroho Adibrata
A banner illustrating support for Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as presidential candidate emblazoned on a pedestrian bridge (JPO) in Slipi, West Jakarta. Regrettably, the 1x30-meter banner stretches along the bridge and nearly covers the bridge’s barrier iron.
If the banner had no permit and the person installed it unknown, we will remove it immediately
“I don’t know who installed the banner and when, probably three days ago,” said Rohadi (45), a motorcycle-taxi driver based around the pedestrian bridge, Tuesday (5/6).
According to him, the banner is disturbing the comfort and safety of road users, especially those who are passing from Jalan S Parman towards Slipi and Palmerah towards Slipi.
Campaign Attributes are still Rampant in West JakartaResponding this matter, Head of West Jakarta Satpol PP, Kadiman Sitinjak, admitted that he has not received report from his men.
“I don’t know (about the Jokowi’s banner installed along pedestrian bridge in Slipi), but I’ll check it soon.
If the banner had no permit and the person installed it unknown, we will remove it immediately ,” he asserted.
