The city administration plans to change school status into the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) in the upcoming 2017. As planned, it will be started from senior high school (SMA) first.

Jakarta Education Dept Head, Sopan Adrianto disclosed, if the BLUD has been formed, the school could design requirements to financial management. Therefore, a number of schools will be made into a pilot project.

"They are also entitled to educational development of the management of the income they receive. We hope to be done in 2017," he said.
