598 Private Vehicles Have App-Based Business License

As many as 598 private vehicles in Jakarta have proposed app-based business license. Those vehicles have proposed the license at Jakarta BPTSP since May to July.

In details are Uber by 437 vehicles, Grab 103 vehicles, and Go Car 58 vehicles

Edi Junaedi, BPTSP Head, said the vehicles come from three operators such as Koperasi Trans Usaha Bersama which uses Uber and Koperasi Jasa Perkumpulan Pengusaha Rental Indonesia (PPRI) which uses Grab. And last is PT Panorama Mitra Sejati which uses Go Car.

“In details are Uber by 437 vehicles, Grab 103 vehicles, and Go Car 58 vehicles,” he said, Monday (8/1).

Meanwhile, Sigit Wijatmoko, Jakarta Vice Dept. of Transportation, admitted many app-based transports are still unlicensed. They afraid if the vehicle price will decline much.

“They afraid if worthiness sticker will decline the car price,” he stated.

In fact, he added, the vehicle owners must propose the license or his side will control them surely.
