Retribution Arrears in Pesakih Flat Given the Ease

From total 640 households in Pesakih Flat, Daan Mogot, Cengkareng, around 30 percent of them are still in arrears retribution cost. For underprivileged occupant, the manager provides an easy settlement payment by installments.

Head of Pesakih Flat Unit Management, Nuri Sawitri disclosed, all residents are relocated residents of riverbanks. They already occupy their unit almost nearly two years. Each month, they are charged a retribution cost of between Rp 187-Rp 281 thousand.

"Although retribution cost is cheap, around 30 percent of the occupants are still in arrears from three until five months. The reason is they do not have money," she uttered, Thursday (8/4).

Blok G Tanah Abang Parking Retribution Increases

According to him, various efforts were been conducted to encourage them pay off the retribution. That is like by sending warning letter and pasting up sticker in each unit.

"They finally pay to us. But if they are from lowered-income people, like widow, we will give priority in installments. It's persuasive efforts by promoting conscience," she said.
