Pilot Sidewalk Project on Jl Jati Baru Reached 30 Percent

Jakarta Provincial Government is accelerating the pilot sidewalk project on Jl Jati Baru, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. The project that carried out since June 2016 has reached 30 percent.

Currently, it is still under construction and has reached 30 percent

Jakarta Bina Marga Dept Head, Yusmada disclosed, the sidewalk project will be complete in the upcoming October. This is in accordance with the existing contract period of 129 days.

"Currently, it is still under construction and has reached 30 percent," he stated, Monday (8/8).

A Sidewalk on Jl Jatibaru will Be Widened

According to him, if the sidewalk is completed, the passerby from Tanah Abang until Cideng River border can enjoy the comfort of walking. With four meters wide, they do not have to jostle.

"The sidewalk wide is four meters and 950 meters long for two sides of Jl Jati Baru," he told.

Yusmada added that such project is using six kinds of material, namely andesite, granite, tile homogeneous, coral brush, stamp concrete and floor hardener. Using them, he is optimistic the passerby would be comfort using the sidewalk.
