Full Day School, Student Nutrition will Be Improved

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama is still considering about full day school system in schools of Jakarta. The nutritional requirements of students must also be the basis for policy making.

"They must be given more nutrition if they undergo full day school system," he expressed, at City Hall, Tuesday (8/9).

According to him Indonesian children only consume two kilograms of meat every year, While in Jakarta, the number is higher or reaching five kilograms. Yet it is still far if it is compared to children in Argentina in meat consumption which reached 16 kilograms per year.

Full Day School Implementation Awaits Review

"I understand Mr. Minister wants to give the best. They want to extend learning and studying activities (KBM) in school but there are manners as well," he disclosed.

Nevertheless, the city administration basically supports it, especially in elementary and junior high school. Because they already have some prioritized schools.

"It will be tested in three schools such as MHT (Mohammad Husni Thamrin, Islamic Center and another one that still being constructed in Ciracas," he finished.
