Fail to KIR Test, Online Taxi will Be Grounded

Jakarta Transportation Dept asserted will continue to crack down on online taxi in the capital that not pass kir test.

Until today, there have been 2,331 online taxis undergo kir test. But there are 187 units are failed and must test again. If not, they will be grounded

"Until today, there have been 2,331 online taxis undergo kir test. But there are 187 units are failed and must test again. If not, they will be grounded," he stated, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Friday (8/11).

He mentions, 2,331 online taxis that have not passed are from three companies. Those are Grab Car, Uber Car and Go Car.

No KIR, Online-Based Taxi will Be Grounded

He details, 750 out of 808 taxis from Grab Car company passed the test and 58 other units are failed, 1,999 out of 1,300 taxis from Uber company passed the test and 111 other units are failed.

"Then from Go Car, 195 out of 213 taxis passed the test and 18 other units are failed," he closed.
