Citizens living in Kampung Pulo, Jatinegara, East Jakarta are protesting on a water channel nearby their residential. They admitted, there are a lot of residual used materials from demolition left to pile up inside the channel and trigger inundation when it rains.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's data, materials that pile up in the channel containing residual mortar and sand as well as building debris. It almost seen across all channels.

Chairman of RT 12/03 Kampung Pulo, Didin disclosed the matter has been reported to the worker of Ciliwung normalization. But it is still ignored.

"We've reported the matter but no response," he exclaimed, Friday (8/11).

Jatinegara Sub-district Head, Nasrudin Abu Bakar admitted has not received complaint from local citizens and urban village apparatus over the matter. Nevertheless, his side will send PPSU officer to check and clean it.

"I will check it today. If it is true, I will send PPSU to do cleaning. If not, we will coordinate with Water Management Sub-dept," he finished.
