Kodok Park Condition Complained by Locals

A Kodok Park that is located at RT 07/09, Kapuk Cengkareng, West Jakarta are complained by local citizens. Besides inundation, the lamp inside the park is also often malfunctioned and causing a short-circuit to emit sparks.

Park also looks slum because cement castings are damaged

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, park is inundated up to 30 centimeters, because its position is lower than water channel. Around five lamps are broken and prone to short circuit due to the lamp cable on a puddle of water.

Deden (44), a local citizen told the Kodok Park is prone to inundation when it rains, because the channel is full of garbage and mud.

"Park also looks slum because cement castings are damaged," he stated, Thursday (8/4).

He then requests related unit to elevate the park and add park facility as well as lamp.

Cengkareng Sub-district, Mas'ud Effendi expressed will immediately check the park and report it to West Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept.

"About garbage in the channel, I will send PPSU to do cleaning," he told.

Meanwhile, when being confirmed via telephone, Head of West Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept, Uus Kuswanto cannot be contacted.
