As many as 1,200 trees along Light Rail Transit (LRT) in Rawamangun-Kelapa Gading were cut. The effort is aimed for pole installation of LRT.
All tree will be replaced in other places
Ismu Sutopo, LRT Project Manager of PT WIKA, said the trees cutting has been run based on procedure. His side has asked for permit to Dept. of City Park and Cemetery.
“All tree will be replaced in other places,” he said, Tuesday (8/23).
LRT Project Runs SmoothlyThe places are East Flood Canal (KBT), public cemetery, park, and so on. It is targeted the planting will be completed in December.
East Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of City Park and Cemetery, Christian Tamora Hutagalung, admitted so. His side will assist the re-planting.
“The tress cutting permit has been given for the company,” he stated.
