PMKS Handling Must Be Optimized

City Council asks handling towards people with social welfare issues (PMKS) to be intensified. This is because it seems to be a never-ending problem.

Member of City Council Commission E, Rifkoh Abriani disclosed, all this time, his party often gets public complaint about beggar on the highway. Whereas, City Social Dept has controlled them routinely.

"There must be system thus it can be resolved. If you need budget, we can add its nominal," he expressed, during Commission E meeting along with City Social Dept discussing General Policy for City Budget Priorities and the Tentative Budget Platform (KUA-PPAS), Thursday (8/25).

Nine PMKS in Senen Railway Controlled

Responding on this matter, City Social Dept Head, Masrokhan disclosed that PMKS problem is still unresolved. According to him, his dept can only minimize its existence so far.

"The case is still unresolved, especially in modern city. There is always a problem there," he uttered.

He added, as many as 413 officers always sent to the filed at 48 PMKS-prone areas in five cities. In addition, his dept also assists other elements in controlling. To follow up it, monitoring will keep being intensified.
