Odd-Even Traffic Trial Decreases Traffic Jam

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama assesses odd-even traffic system trial during a month is able to decrease traffic jam.

Police personnel said traffic jam decreases up to 20 percent

“Police personnel said traffic jam decreases up to 20 percent,” he said, Thursday (8/25).

According to him, odd-even traffic system is transition period before applying electronic road pricing (ERP) system. It is hoped ERP can be applied next year.

Odd-Even Violator will Be Fined at Rp 500,000

“Odd-even is not solution for traffic jam. It’s transition before ERP,” he added.

Odd-even traffic system is being trialed from July 27 to August 26.
