Scrap Metal Truck Fell on Jalan Rawa Domba

A truck carrying scrap metal license plate number B 9307 KQA fell on Jalan Rawa Domba, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, Tuesday (5/13) at around 08.00 AM. There were no casualties in this incident, but the traffic flow congested on that road. The truck fell because the road is in poor condition and never be repaired.

This is the third incident. The road condition is probably not compact so it collapses easily

Matzen (65), a local resident, said that the truck was running with 30 kilometer/hour, but at the scene, the rear wheels were suddenly fell into 50 cm depth hole.

“This is the third incident. The road condition is probably not compact so it collapses easily,” said Matzen, uduk rice seller who usually sells around the scene location.

Jalan Rawa Domba is actually had been repaired a month ago. However, some part of the road was repaired by concreting and some was using hot mix asphalt.

Head of Duren Sawit Urban Village, Sudirman, said that this incident will be reported to East Jakarta Public Work Sub-Dept. since there are already three incident in a month, and it is afraid to cause another accident.

“We’ll report to Public Work Sub-Dept in order to repair that road immediately. If the road condition is not stable, certainly there should be compacting solution to avoid this incident again,” Sudirman uttered.
