City to Revise Bylaw on Employment

City government is about to propose a revision of Bylaw No. 6/2014 on Employment. The bylaw is considered necessary to be revised because not accommodate some of the provisions developed at this time.

The bylaw must be revised and will be adjusted with the new rule

Sub-division Head of Jakarta Local Regulation and Legal Bureau, Bandi Muharam Asmara disclosed, his side deliberately opens a public consultation in order to accommodate input from the public related to the employment bylaw. The public consultation itself, followed by tripartite element which include employer, government and worker.

"The bylaw must be revised and will be adjusted with the new rule," he stated, at City Hall, Tuesday (9/13).

West Jakarta Runs Mental Revolution

Bandi added, in the bylaw, there are some points that require to be adjusted, such as apprenticeship, surveillance, and wages. Such revised bylaw is planned to be submitted to City Council next year.

"So we reset special things that are needed in Jakarta, especially in era-Asean economic," he finished.
