Kemang Village Water Reservoir will Be Evaluated

South Jakarta Administration and Jakarta Water Management Dept are reviewing the Kemang Village water reservoir belongs to PT Lippo Karawaci (LPKR) in Mampang Prapatan.

It is to ensure PT LPKR whether they work in accordance with SOP or not

The review is to ensure water reservoir that functions to anticipate flooding in the residential area around Kemang and Cipete Utara.

"It is to ensure PT LPKR whether they work in accordance with SOP or not. We recheck the sluice gate and tested, it's little bit difficult," expressed Rodia Renaningrum, Secretary of Jakarta Water Management Dept, Tuesday (9/13).

Water Reservoir Project in Kampung Rambutan Still Stagnated

Rodia disclosed, the review includes side of the reservoir, sluice gate, until riverbank outside the Kemang Village's fence that bounded by four manual sluices. These gates are opened when Krukut River overflowed.

Meanwhile, Assistant of South Jakarta Development and Environmental (Asbang), Freedy Setiawan disclosed the reservoir would better to be handed over to Jakarta government. Thus the maintenance and its control will be more maximal.

"If we handle it, residents can be more confident. Surely we will also do evaluation," he finished.
