The city administration will build a water reservoir on a 4,000-square meter wide land at RW 05, Kampung Rambutan, Ciracas. It is hoped able to overcome inundation problem in Kampung Rambutan and Kampung Dukuh.

Ciracas Sub-district Head, Manson Sinaga disclosed the land itself is located on the side of Cipinang River.

"Water reservoir project is managed by Jakarta Water Management Dept. So far, we do not know when it could be realized. This is because we focus on land acquisition," he expressed, Tuesday (7/26).

Yet, the land acquisition process is also still in trouble. Landowners cannot issue the SIPT PBB because there are other parties who claim to be the owner.

Meanwhile, Section Head of River and Beach for Jakarta Water Management Dept, Maryana admitted did not know the project schedule. Even, he admitted, there is already a meeting in Jakarta DPRD Commission A on land acquisition for water reservoir project.

"I don't know when it could be built in Kampung Rambutan," he closed.
