Water channel at RT 04/03, Semanan Urban Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta is cleaned. Mud and trash are cleaned from the 300 meter-long channel.
Previously, the channel was closed by the residents
Kalideres Sub-district Head, Supriyadi, said the cleaning is involving 10 freelancers of Sub-dept. of Water Management.
“Previously, the channel was closed by the residents. As the result, channel was never been dredged. If rain pours, channel will overflow and inundate the street,” he said, Thursday (9/15).
Heavy Equipment Deployed to Pesanggrahan RiverThe freelancers must demolish the manhole to ease the cleaning process.
“We have appealed the residents to left the channel opened,” he closed.
