Ahead of Pilkada, City Asked to Map Conflict-prone Areas

Director of Regional Head Facility for Home Ministry, Akmal Malik disclosed that every region to map conflict-prone areas, especially region with a lot of crucial issues.

"Crucial issues must be anticipated earlier. So should map potential conflicts that may occur," he disclosed, during a teleconference with several regions that held Pilkada, Tuesday (9/27).

He added, mapping is required for the placement of security officers. The upcoming election is expected to run well and smoothly, without any conflict.

"We hope everything can run smoothly. Because some regions that make a report about Pilkada preparation were good enough," he told.

According to him, teleconference was done to see the readiness of the region to the Pilkada. Besides Jakarta, it was also conducted by West Java, Aceh, Yogyakarta, Banten, North Sulawesi, Bali and Lampung.
