Ahead of Pilkada, E-ID Card Recording Accelerated

Home Minister, Tjahjo Kumolo disclosed, the entire headmen who spread in Indonesia began to speed up e-ID card recording. It is done to minimize population data fraud ahead of the upcoming regional election (pilkada).

Responding on this matter, Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat delivered, to speed up recording process, the city government has done jemput bola system.

"We'll do jemput bola until urban village, and the most important thing is its ID card blank," he explained to Tjhajo Kumolo.

From his own data, from seven millions of people, 165 of them have not processed e-ID card. The number is lower than other regions in Indonesia.

Nevertheless, he asks City Population and Civil Registration Dept to remain consistent in running the duty.

"We try to make them all based on e-ID card, that's why speed it up," he finished.
