PKL Increasingly Rampant in Stamplat Bogor JPO

Although the officer has done the raid intensively, but it does not give deterrent effect for street vendor and street musician in the Stamplat Bogor Pedestrian Bridge (JPO), Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

Ironically, it looks neglected thus they freely occupy the bridge.

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, around 15 PKL seen open stall on the bridge that located at Jl Matraman Raya, Balimester, Jatinegara. Most are selling accessories, child toys, fruits and so forth. Even the bridge is also misused by people with social welfare issues (PMKS) such as street musician.

Fatma (41), a JPO user admitted she feels uncomfortable with the bridge condition. It is hoped could be controlled soon.

"The bridge is misused by PKL and full of garbage. Supposedly there should be further action from related unit," she complained.

When being confirmed, Jatinegara Sub-district Head, Nasrudin Bakar admitted has yet to know about the matter. But he promised to follow it up.

He continued will send his men to clean up garbage heaps on the bridge.

"We'll control them soon. For the garbage, PPSU will clean it," he closed.
