Ex-Location of Fire in Gunung Antang Must Clean From Building

An ex-location of fire that spotted in Gunung Antang localization area, Matraman, East Jakarta cannot be built buildings anymore. Eventually, the land would be refunctioned as a green belt and double railway crossing.

Such land is owned by Jakarta Provincial Government and PT KAI. Residents have no right to develop building there

Matraman Sub-district Secretary, Yuswil Rasyid disclosed, the ex-fire land will not be redeveloped with buildings. Even, tens of buildings in the land will be torn down as soon as possible.

"Such land is owned by Jakarta Provincial Government and PT KAI. Residents have no right to develop building there," he stressed, Thursday (10/6).

Meanwhile, Section Head of Operation for East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Gatot Sulaiman recorded, there are 60 buildings burned in such land. Those are used as dwelling and stall.

"As a result, 220 people have lost their homes," he disclosed.
