East Jakarta Sub-dept. of Fire Handling and Rescue is about to socialize about Building Fire Safety Management (MKKG). It is aimed to decrease the loss caused by fire.

MKKG is formed to minimize the loss caused by fire

Edi Parwoko, agency’s Head Section of Prevention and Society Role, admitted MKKG must be provided for building occupied by minimally 500 people. Or especially for factories, hospitals, and apartments. The regulation is managed under Bylaw No. 8/2008 about fire prevention.

“MKKG is formed to minimize the loss caused by fire. All worker will take their role handling the fire,” he said, Friday (10/7).

His side will assist the formation of MKKG and also give training for MKKG member. Training like extinguishing fire with light extinguisher and wet sack will be given, as well as evacuation technique.
