Next Year, Compensation For Bekasi Residents Increased

Jakarta Provincial Government plans to increase compensation money to 18,000 Bekasi people living around Bantar Gebang Landfill. It is accordance with an addendum about cooperation agreement between Jakarta Provincial Government with Bekasi City Administration. In the addendum, there is an agreement on increase in compensation from Rp 70-143 billion.

Next year, the compensation will increase up to Rp 143 billion. It is the request of Mr. Mayor, so we give it. It will be given to 18,000 people living around Bantar Gebang

"Next year, the compensation will increase up to Rp 143 billion. It is the request of Mr. Mayor, so we give it. It will be given to 18,000 people living around Bantar Gebang," said Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono, Bantar gebang Landfill, Bekasi, Tuesday 911/8).

As for this year, total grant that received by Bekasi and Jakarta is about Rp 189 billion. It consists of compensation by Rp 35 billion and infrastructure improvement in Bantar gebang area. Every household gets Rp 300,000. As planned, this year's compensation could be received this year.

Acting Governor Visited Bantar Gebang Landfill

"Hopefully, this week's administration is done and will be realized two weeks," he disclosed.
