Seribu Islands Regent Administration intends to develop the settlement island as a fish processing industry center.
The fish farming island won't sell fish again but can process a wide range of fish products that will be marketed through cooperatives
"The fish farming island won't sell fish again but can process a wide range of fish products that will be marketed through cooperatives," expressed Budi Utomo, Regent of Seribu Islands, Wednesday (11/9).
His side wants each island to have cooperatives thus every resident business under the legal protection of the cooperative. Thus the whole households as the owner of shares and employers would get the results.

"Hence, we need example. If it runs well, other regions will follow us. We'll try it in Lancang and Sebira islands first," he disclosed.
