January-October, 1,720 PMKS in N. Jakarta Controlled

North Jakarta Social Sub-dept recorded 1,720 PMKS are successfully netted along January-October.

"There was an increase of 523 people in the same month compared to last year, which was 1,197 people," expressed Adjie Anto, Head of North Jakarta Social Sub-dept, Thursday (11/17).

7 PMKS Raided in Sawah Besar

Anto added, the outreach average in North Jakarta is mostly people with psychiatric problems (ODMK), beggars, street musician, homeless and displaced persons.

"To return them to the hometown, we have never been as street musician and beggar are usually from North Jakarta residents so it is quite returned to the family and we report it to the local urban village," he disclosed.

He added, there are still some PMKS-prone areas that must be monitored, such as in the intersection of Mambo Tanjung Priok, Gedong Panjang Penjaringan, intersection of Plumpang and Koja.
