City to Utilize Land in Ciangir for Plantation

Jakarta Provincial Government will utilize land in Ciangir, Tangerang, Banten for plantation. It is aimed to support the food tenacity in the capital.

Jakarta Head Dept. of Maritime, Agriculture and Food Tenacity, Darjamuni, admitted Jakarta Provincial Government owns 100 hectare in Ciangir.
“The land is owned by Korpri. Coordination remains conducted to provide plantation area,” he said, Monday (11/28).
Chili Distribution to Jakarta Decreases 60 TonsOn that land, his side will be able to plant various vegetables up to 30 hectare. The remaining 70 hectare will be used for farming.
This way, he added, is able to add the chili and rice stock the capital.
“The policy appeared after analyzing the rocketing of chili price on the market by Rp 80 thousands per kilogram. It caused by low stock from the distributor,” he closed.
