City to Build Underpass in Mampang Kuningan

Heavy traffic in a number of roads is anticipated with the construction of underpasses. One of the locations that targeted is Mampang Brass, Prapatan Mampang Sub-district, South Jakarta.

Section Head of Intersection Development for Jakarta Bina Marga Dept, Hananto Krisna disclosed, the underpass project is aimed to minimize intersection between Jl Mampang Prapatan with Jl Rasuna Said.

"Traffic flow is dense, thus underpass is needed to support the busway operation plying corridor 6 and 9," he expressed, Wednesday (12/7).

City to Construct Underpass on Jalan RA Kartini Next Year

Eventually, it would have 800 meters length and 20 meters width or four lanes. Hence, vehicle from Jl Rasuna Said towards Jl Mampang Prapatan and vice versa do not need to stop in a long time at the red light.

"For underpass project, we will spend Rp 200 billion and is targeted to be complete in December 2017," he finished.
