Prone to Flooding, Cilincing Puskesmas Deploys 50 Doctors

To anticipate flooding in the peak of rainy season, as many as 50 doctors and tens of medical officers under Cilincing Sub-district Puskesmas will be alerted at the sub-district and urban village health posts. The same thing will also be done at the refugee camp, especially for flood victims.

Cilincing Sub-district Puskesmas Head, Leny Ariyani disclosed, the health post is set up in accordance with the field condition. If the rainfall is high and prone to inundation, the post will be activated.

Tens of Health Facilities in Jakarta Have ARV Service

"In the peak of rainy season, we send 50 doctors plus medical officer. If it is needed, we will be ready to serve," she expressed, Friday (12/23).

She explains each post at refugee camp will have one doctor and two medical officers. Additionally, her side also prepares four ambulances.

"Drugs supply has been prepared. If the victim cannot be handled, we will refer them using ambulance," he stated.

When flooding occurs, she continued, it is prone to diarrhea, high blood pressure, fever, cough, running nose and itching, commonly occur in refugee camps. Not only treatment, her side will also deploy additional food for toddlers and infants.
