Jakarta Transportation Dept, Andri Yansyah announced that Car Free Day that scheduled on January 1, 2017 will be dispensed. It will be diverted in evening, namely Car Free Night which falls on December 31.

He added that Car Free Night is held to enliven the New Year celebration. There will be five entertainment stages along Jalan Sudirman, Jalan Thamrin and Monas. Traffic in such areas will be closed, starting from Patung Kuda until Semanggi.
Car Free Night Track Is Only Until Semanggi"During Car Free Night, the road closure will be applied at 5 PM-2 AM. Thus, on the next day, we won't apply it again for Car Free Day," he stated.
Residents who usually participate in Car Free Day are prompted to adjust and search for another location for the exercise. This policy is also applied to the last week of this year's Christmas celebration.
