Sumarsono Hopes Cooling at Senen Market Finished Soon

The fire occurred at Senen Market that burned 1,633 kiosks yesterday is still under cooling process. Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono hoped, it could be finished as soon as possible.

According to Sumarsono, who had visited Senen Market this morning, smoke is still seen at several points of fire location. 

"Today, the firefighter officer is still cooling down on the fire location (Senen Market). It's just smoke, surely it's not yet safe," he disclosed, in Juanda area, Central Jakarta, Friday (1/20).

Three Roads Around Pasar Senen Closed

He hoped it could be completed today. Thus the temporary shelter for peddler can be set up.

"And then continued with discussion of temporary shelter. Besides, I've also talked it to peddler," he told. 

Until now, peddler is still prohibited to approach the burnt location because it is still dangerous.

"People cannot enter into the market area in first. Because we still do cooling there," he stated.
