69 Plots of Land on Krukut will Be Acquired This Year

Jakarta Water Resources Dept. is targeting to acquire 69 out of 186 plots of land on the Krukut River. Land acquisition as long as 10 km is conducted to normalize the river.

69 plots will be acquired this year, because administration problem must also be completed

"Insha Allah (God willing), 69 plots will be acquired this year, because administration problem must also be completed," expressed Teguh Hendrawan, Head of Jakarta Water Resources Dept., at City Hall, Monday (1/23).

Teguh acknowledged that his dept. does not know yet how much budget to acquire 69 plots. This is because budget for land acquisition is about Rp 200 billion, including for reservoir and river.

City Focuses on Land Acquisition on Riverside

"I request Mr. Mayor and Jakarta Cipta Karya's Spatial Planning and Land Dept. to give data to me for allocating budget in terms of land acquisition," he expressed.

As for physical development, he continued, will be managed by Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing in terms of Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC).

"For land acquisition lies in us, but physical development is managed by BBWSCC. It uses appraisal price," he finished.
