Water Resources Dept. Encouraged to Repair Damaged Pumps

Regarding flood handling, we still found pumps that must be replaced.
City Council (DPRD), warning Jakarta Water Resources Dept. to repair the damaged water pumps in the capital. Moreover, rain has started pouring the capital.
City DPRD Commission D Secretary, Panji Virgianto disclosed, repair for any water pump that damaged must be a priority, because it often triggers inundation, especially during rainy season.
Pump will Be Installed in Melati Reservoir"Regarding flood handling, we still found pumps that must be replaced. We encourage Water Resources Dept. to immediately fix them," he stated, at City Council Building, Wednesday (2/1).
Particularly for pumps that cannot be repaired again, those should be replaced. Considering fund for its repair is more expensive than buy new ones.
"It must be replaced than we fix it but it will damage again someday. We have no choice," he uttered.
For pumps that are still in good condition, the dept. must conduct a routine maintenance optimally.
