Rp 5 B Prepared for Traffic Infrastructures in C. Jakarta

The development of this year's traffic infrastructures will be executed in the near future. To realize it, Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. already have fund by Rp 5 billion.

Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. Head, Harlem Simanjuntak disclosed his sub-dept. also got public request about installation of mirror, traffic and prohibition signs, zebra crossing, and speed trap.

"Most residents want us to minimize traffic accident, that is by putting up a traffic mirror at the corner," he stated, Monday (2/6).

They also want zebra cross around school zone and speed trap to slow down the speed of the vehicle in residential.

But it is not yet known how many traffic signs are needed. This is because he is still doing inventory and coordinating with the heads of the planning and development of the city, sub-district and urban village.

"It's still being discussed so far in which we have to check the locations that are really in need. It will be adjusted with the available fund," he finished.
