"Nowadays, there is a committee to asses the recipient. Then the process will go to student's parents, teacher, and headmaster. Appropriate recipient should apply SKTM letter," Basuki added.

He asserted, book purchases using KJP funds only can be done when there is a book fair or Jakarta Book Fair and must be completed with its bill. And the students demanded to write resume of the book.

As reported earlier, based on City Education Department’s data there are 611,507 students which listed as KJP recipients with Rp 1.4 trillion total budgets. But the available funds in City 2014 Regional Budget are only for Rp 779 million. Thus, it needs verification for those who more deserve to receive KJP funds.

“Verification process of KJP funds is still conducted. It perhaps KJP recipients are not that much (611,507 students),” Lasro Marbun added, Jakarta Education Department Head.
