Throwing Waste in Schools, Hotel Management Reprimanded

Central Jakarta Mayor, Saefullah, reviewed State Elementary School (SD) 04 and 08, Kebon Sirih, on Jalan H Agus Salim No 57, Kebon Sirih, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday (6/2). Bali Hotel management, who thrown their waste into the schools’ environment, was also reprimanded.

"I asked heads of sub-district and urban village to give reprimand letter and call the owner of Bali Hotel former building,” said Saefullah when reviewing the condition of SDN 04 and 08 Kebon Sirih, Monday (6/2).

If they ignore the letter, Saefullah will take affirmative action to the building management and occupants in form of expulsion. “If they ignore it, I will execute them,” stated Seafullah.

A School in Kebon Sirih Turns into Waste Disposal

He also urged the school party with urban village agency to transport the waste immediately.

“I also command urban village and school party to clean the waste and deploy truck to transport the ruins,” Saefullah said.

Besides that, he has instructed Menteng Urban Village to cut waste waterway pipes that flow from the top of Bali Hotel former building into the school environment.

“For head of head of sub-district, I ask to cut this pipe so that the children won’t smile odor. I also ask the school canteen not to be disorganized, but in line and neat” uttered Saefullah.

He also asked Head of Central Jakarta Primary Education Sub-Department (Dikdas) to rehabilitate the buildings of SDN 04 and 08 Kebon Sirih totally.

“I also ask Disdak to rehabilitate these schools and budget it in the long term program,” he asked.
