Residential and Road Flooded as Ciliwung Overflows in Bukit Duri

Due to heavy rain, water overflowing from Ciliwung River has inundated a citizen residential in RW 12, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta. The water level reached 50-150 cm.

Based on Beritajakarta.com's observations, water also inundates some roads as high as 80-150 cm. Among them are Jalan Raya Bukit Duri Utara and Taman Bukit Duri.

Hundreds of Homes in Cawang Flooded

As a result, traffic at the location became paralyzed. Three cars are trapped in floods on Jalan Taman Bukit Duri. Not only that, school activity had to be closed.

Sudirman (47), a citizen of RW 12 Bukit Duri uttered, around 3 AM, water from Ciliwung overflowed into the environment and road. 

"Overflowing water is through the drain of citizen residential," stated Sudirman, when being met at the location, Thursday (2/16).
