Children Park to Be Constructed at Tanah Tinggi

Central Jakarta City Parks Sub-Department will provide a park for children on Tanah Tinggi, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta. This park for children is aimed for surround citizens to have affordable and easy access of alternative recreation place.
The park will be facilitated with children playground, starts from slides, swings, iron domes and so on
Central Jakarta City Parks Sub-Department Head, Jansen Saragih said, the concept of park for children will be friendlier to kids. It means that his authorities will change the existing park concept for all this time. As it is known, most of some parks in the city are only grasses, trees, and flowers. Youngsters are often make parks like this to be a place for dating.
“Park for children design is like a playgroup. Because the park will be facilitated with children playground, starts from slides, swings, iron domes and so on,” said Saragih, Tuesday (6/3). While for its benches, there will be various alphabets benches. Therefore, residents who want to come to park can give their children lesson.
3 Parks for Children to Be Built in S. JakartaSaragih explained, the park for children construction is still on auction process in Procurement Service Unit (ULP) of Jakarta Provincial Government.
According to him, park for children is included in 10 Central Jakarta pedestrian reparation plans there are, Jalan Sabang, Jalan Jakasa, Jalan Teuku Cik Ditiro, Jalan Surabaya, Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Jalan Margono (front of Shangrila hotel), Jalan Kramat to Jalan Salemba, Jalan Diponegoro (front of RSCM), Parks for Children (Putra Pandawa park, Johar Baru) and Jalan Tanah Tinggi.
“We cannot do anything because there is a policy for reparation or procurement must through ULP,” he added.
Meanwhile, Johar Baru Sub-District head, Masroni admits that he is ready to secure park for children area. Public need space for interaction. He believes that residents will utilize the parks for good.
As it is known, Johar Baru is very dense populated area, so existence of open space becomes hope for surround residents. “If there will be park for children here, it will be right on target,” he stated.
