Seribu Islands to Plant 1,000 Seeds of Mangrove During 2017 HPSN

As many as 1,000 mangrove seeds will be planted in a series of commemorative activities on National Garbage Care Day (HPSN) in Seribu Islands Regency, which falls today, Tuesday (2/21).

We'll plant 800 seeds of mangrove at national park on west side of Pramuka Island

Seribu Islands Environment Sub-dept. Head, Yusen Hardiman disclosed mangrove plantation is done through two agenda. First, during HPSN at province level in Mangrove Forest Conservation, Indah Kapuk Beach, North Jakarta, Tuesday (2/21), in which Seribu Islands to plant 120 seeds of mangrove.

"Further, we'll plant 800 seeds of mangrove at national park on west side of Pramuka Island, plus various activities on February 25, 2017," he expressed, Monday (2/20). 

Besides that, the event would also be filled by a sea cleaning activity and distribute 50 boxes of toilet cleaning fluid and 200 garbage bags to the homestay owners and Pramuka Island residents.

"We hope there is resident participation in our event as guidance, as well as make them aware that the cleanliness of the environment is a shared responsibility," he stated.
