Jakarta Provincial Government will accelerate acquisition progress of 36 land lots in Cipinang Melayu, Makasar, East Jakarta in Sunter riverbanks.

Ciliwung Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) will continue sheet pile construction which is not installed yet in RW 03 and RW 04, Cipinang Melayu, started on next March, 2017.
River Normalization to Solve Floods"There is an obstacle on land acquisition thus remains 2.5 kilometers from upstream to downstream could not be finished," said Teuku Iskandar, Head of BBWSCC, Monday (2/20).
He admitted that installation progress was stopped since the existing river width doesn't fit. Ideally, the river width should be 15-18 meters, but for now is just about 7-8 meters.
"In downstream part towards BKT is also narrowing. As the result, water is turning back," he added.
Meanwhile, City Water Resources Dept. Head, Teguh Hendrawan, said his side already bought 16 land lots in RW 03 and RW 04, Cipinang Melayu. While the remaining 36 land lots are in process.
"We will coordinate with BPN to accelerate administration progress. We already prepared the budget thus when administration process is done, we will pay it immediately," he stated.
If it can be bought fast, BBWSCC can continue Ciliwung normalization and installing sheet pile in RW 03 and RW 04.
"If everything goes smoothly, sheet pile installation can be finished in April," he closed.
