PKL Commodities in Kalijodo RPTRA Asked to Be Examined

Food and beverages sold by street vendors (PKL)s in Kalijodo Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), West Jakarta, are asked to be examined.

This examination is to make sure food and beverages sold by PKLs is hygiene and not containing dangerous substances.

"I asked Health Department and BPOM to check food in there," said Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Tuesday (2/28).

He explained that according to management meeting, vendors will be recorded and arranged. But selling location should not be permanent.

"Vendors must be ready if their commodities will be examined," he added.

He stated that his side will give a firm sanction for any vendors who sell food that contained of dangerous substances such as formalin, borax, or clothes dye.
