East Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. will inventory some active waste composting facilities in its area.

"For now we don't have the precise figure data. Thus we want to inventory it in the near future," said Budi Mulyanto, Head of East Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. on Wednesday (3/1).
He explained that waste composting existence is really needed to control waste volume in his area since daily waste volume could reach 1,400 to 1,500 tons.

He continued that the waste bank establishment will not only centered in residential area but also in each school. This is needed to minimize trash production in school and educating students.
"Like in SMPN 257. They collaborated with residents to pick up the trash in residential area every week. This could be a model," he closed.
