This Year, Dharma Bhakti Monastery Renovated

This monastery is a place of worship and cultural heritage

The renovation of Dharma Bakti Monastery located at Jalan Kemenangan III, RT 03/02, Glodok Urban Village, Tamansari, West Jakarta, which had burned on March 2, 2015, will be renovated this year.

Renovation will have a special touch, because the monastery that built in 1650 is one of the cultural heritages in the capital.

Dharma Bakti Foundation Chairman, Tan Adi Pranata explains will soon bring in craftsmen from Chinese.

"This monastery is a place of worship and cultural heritage. So, it needs craftsmen who understand the philosophical," he stated, Monday (3/6).

According to him, such renovation will also use wood from Papua as high as 12 meters which is hundreds of years old

On the other hand, Tamansari Sub-district Head, Firmanudin disclosed his side helped the need for a renovation.

"We're supporting it. We also have issued the licensing," he closed.
