Petukangan River in Rawa Terate Dredged

East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. dredges mud sedimentation and trash in Petukangan River, Rawa Terate, Cakung. This is done to increase river capacity.

I t is targeted this dredging can be finished in the end of April

"It is dredged for about 300 meters long, starting from Rawa Terate water gate to Krama Yudha Building's backside. It was dredged for one meter depth," said Yoserizal, Maintenance Section Head of East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept., Tuesday (4/4).

According to him, that river has already silted up. Thus in high intensity rain, it can not accommodate much water.

Utan Kayu River Dredged

"We deploy one mini amphibious excavator and one long arm in land. It is targeted this dredging can be finished in the end of April," he closed.
