East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. dredges Utan Kayu River on Jl. Pengayoman, Utan Kayu Utara, Matraman. The dredging is done at night to reduce the congestion on that road.

East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Maintenance Section Head, Yoserizal said the river is dredged for about 300 meters long. While its depth is about 1 meter.

Cideng River Dredged ManuallyAccording to him, Utan Kayu River dredging has been done since the beginning of March and targeted will be completed in April. Because of the location is beside crowded alternative road, thus the work just can be done at night start from 9 P.M. to 5 A.M.
"We deployed amphibious and one long arm excavator to do the work faster," he closed.
