Jakarta DPRD Vice Chairman, M Taufik said people welfare must be in line with the work done by the people's representatives.
"We gradually propose prosperity improvement in accordance with the government regulation, like housing allowance, recess funds and so on," he expressed.
He uttered the council should also oversee the public aspiration that has been collected during recess implementation until application of development program.
"The development program application in City Budget (APBD) is also including the results of Musrenbang, RPJMD, RKPD and council members recess," he stated.
On that occasion, Taufik also reminds the council to consider the condition of the lower-class members during application of Draft Bylaw on Regional Retribution.
"Don't raise the retribution that can harm the people. It needs prudence because on the one hand want to raise local revenue, but economic condition is not ready," he said.
