The habit of public transports and motorcycle-taxi (ojek) drivers who often park haphazardly in front of Tanah Abang Station, Central Jakarta, is deemed very disturbing other people’s activities due to causing traffic congestion.
I’m tired of being stuck in the traffic constantly. This is all because of public transport and ojek drivers’ habit, parking their vehicles haphazardly
Based on beritajakarta.com observations in location on Friday (6/6), dozens of Mikrolet 08 (Tanah Abang-Kota) were lining in front of Tanah Abang Station entrance, while dozens of ojek driver motorcycles parked in front of the exit door. As a result, congestion was unavoidable because the road narrowed.
Ijal (38), a biker, admitted that he was tired of seeing the congestion around Tanah Abang area, particularly on Jalan Jati Baru in front of Tanah Abang Station’s entrance and exit doors. “

When being confirmed on this matter, Head of Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Syamsuddin, acknowledged that he already aware of the condition in front of Tanah Abang Station. “We know the condition in the field. That’s why we’re going to hold a joint raid in five areas in the near future,” he stated.
According to Syamsuddin, the raid will involve personnel from Jakarta Transportation Department, Central Jakarta Satpol PP, Parking Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), and Terminal UPT. “Approximately 40 personnel will be deployed in the raid,” he told.
In addition, Syamsuddin reasoned that his party is having difficulties in freeing Tanah Abang area from congestion due to lack of personnel.
