Draft bylaw on industry is a legal protection that separates between UKM and IKM

City Council Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, supporting the executive's proposal about industry draft bylaw.

According to him, the small and medium enterprises (IKM) in the capital require a clear legal protection in order to grow and be protected. 

"Draft bylaw on industry is a legal protection that separates between UKM and IKM," he expressed, during a bapemperda meeting related to the industry draft bylaw, Monday (4/17) afternoon.

"By doing so, Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept. would be a related unit that authorities to foster and develop the IKM in the field of tempe and tofu," he stated.

He added the flat occupants also have potential to develop creative industry in the future.

"If they can be absorbed for developing IKM, the people's welfare will be able to be improved and the growing creative industries will contribute foreign exchange towards the local treasury," he added.
